Tiny House in Wimberley

Recently listed as one of USA today’s coolest Airbnb’s Buck Moon Tiny House has a Japanese Shou Sugi Ban exterior and a 276 square foot interior that has all your modern luxuries but nestled deep into the heart of Texas Hill Country.

A Wimberly Texas hidden gem. Buck Moon Tiny House has everything you need for a weekend getaway.

The property has a full size kitchen and bath, two sleeping lofts; one with a queen size bed and the other with a full, an outdoor patio with a fire pit and chairs, and free on-site parking. Everything you need down to the smallest detail has been thought of and provided to you at Buck Moon and if there’s something you’ve forgotten or need help with the owners live on site and are more than happy to help.

Buck Moon Tiny House has so many windows making your view of the treetops one you won’t want to leave.

What to expect when staying at Buck Moon Tiny House

The property is the perfect blend of minimalism and luxury. You really don’t need to bring much when coming to visit . I’d recommend bringing some books, your favorite coffee/tea, some board games, coloring sheets for the kids, everything you need for s’mores of course and your favorite family movie.

The hosts have put together a welcome book that will tell you everything you need to know about staying in the tiny house from working the propane stove to the wifi password. They even put in all their own local recommendations on places to eat and sites to see in the area.

The property runs off collected rain water so the water pressure probably isn’t what you’re used to. Everything in the tiny home has been carefully selected to be eco friendly. The cell service is pretty spotty but there is WiFi! You may have to use WiFi calling during your stay. Because this is rural internet, it can’t hold as many devices so you’ll want to only use one device at a time.

Things to do around Buck Moon Tiny House

Another reason that this property is so great is because of it’s central location. It’s close to Wimberley, Dripping Springs, and Blanco Texas. The Hill Country is some of my favorite areas in the entire state of Texas. There is endless outdoor beauty to choose from. Here are a few of the top things to do in each of these cities:

  • Dripping Springs
    – Eat at Salt Lick BBQ
    -Hamilton Pool
    -West Cave Preserve
  • Wimberley
    -Jacob’s Well
    -Pedernales State Fall State Park

Our stay in Wimberley

We had such a great time here! The owners went above and beyond for us when we had issues on the airbnb site after we were already en route. The kids loved hanging out here for a few days and definitely didn’t want to go home. They thought we were in the coolest tree house ever! We woke up after, arriving the night before, and there were chickens right outside our window! Abby had a blast walking around and clucking like a chicken! We got some rain during our stay so we didn’t get to to as much off site exploring as we would have liked so we’ll be back soon! Can’t say enough nice things about this property or it’s hosts!
